About the calculator
The water and sewer consumption calculator was created to facilitate filling out applications for connection conditions to water supply and sewerage networks. It calculates average daily and hourly consumption as well as maximum instantaneous flows.
How to use the calculator?
1. Water consumption: Enter the number of residents and water consumption per person. Typical values are 100-150 l/person·day depending on the building type.
2. Maximum instantaneous consumption: Fill in the water outlets in the table to calculate peak flow.
3. Sewer discharge: Set the percentage of consumed water discharged as sewage (usually 90-100%).
4. Maximum instantaneous discharge: Fill in the sewer discharge points in the table.
Typical values
• Multi-family residential buildings: 100-130 l/person·day
• Single-family homes: 130-150 l/person·day
• Usage time: 18h/day (residential), 8-12h/day (offices), 20-24h/day (hotels)
• Sewer discharge percentage: 95% (design value)
